As many of you will know, Tony Davis is an avid lover of motocross and is deeply involved within the biking community. This year, we wanted to show just how passionate we are about supporting the amazing local talent we have and have embarked on a journey with Lane Racing Team (LRT), who are based in Gloucestershire. Through our sponsorship we aim to support the team by taking the worry about the nitty gritty so that they can focus on winning the race, improving their equipment and offering any additional support to give them the push they deserve.
Who are Lane Racing Team?
The MX Team was initially set up by Simon and James Lane, who have both been racing for 35 years. They are well respected within the racing community, having won four British titles and raced around Europe representing Great Britain for 15 consecutive seasons. They have also competed in 95 World MX GPs in their time, which is pretty impressive.

Their main focus being the AMCA championship this season as this is their first season running the Lane Racing within Honda MX team.
What are LRT’s career highlights so far?
The team has achieved many accolades along the years. With years of experience competing in some of the most iconic races of the nation. The most memorable moment for them was winning the French Supercross Flood Lit Race in front of a gigantic crowd. The Lane Racing Team thoroughly enjoyed the event and gained valuable experience from it.
Why are WMB a great brand to sponsor you?
WMB and LRT have a great relationship and it’s been a pleasure working with them so far. Simon had this to say about their relationship with WMB:
“Our commitment with WMB is huge. They’re our title sponsors and we want to give them the exposure they deserve. Tony and Paul are great friends of ours and are passionate about racing as much as we are.”
“WMB has unrivalled experience in the industry, so it felt very natural that we’d form a great and successful partnership. Tony used to race in the past and understands the level of support and dedication that’s required to be successful in a professional manner. The support and guidance that WMB provide us is invaluable and we’re looking forward to a fantastic future.”
Tony from WMB was equally excited about the collaboration:
“As an avid biker and racer in my former life, I know just how challenging it is to make waves in the motor industry. You need the right team behind you and we are so passionate about supporting not just young talent, but local talent too, so it felt completely natural to form a partnership with Simon and his team. Working within the industry puts us in a great position to support Lane Racing, as well as our other sponsors, and give something back to the local community. We’re very much looking forward to an exciting season with Lane Racing Team.”
