WMB has deployed two specialist trucks to support an emergency water supply operation in Kent and the South East, helping thousands of residents currently without running water.
The operation sees WMB vehicles transporting and distributing bottled water to affected communities, ensuring supplies reach those most in need as quickly as possible. Each truck is equipped with ou favourite mounted forklift, a MOFFETT (by Hiab), allowing our drivers to safely unload pallets of water directly at distribution points.
In addition to the logistics operation, WMB drivers have been assisting on the ground, helping to hand out water to members of the public. The company says its drivers have shown professionalism, care and empathy while supporting communities during a challenging situation.
Tony Davis, Managing Director at WMB, said the company was proud to play its part in the emergency response.
“At times like this, logistics plays a vital role in supporting communities,” said Tony. “Our drivers have gone above and beyond, not only delivering essential supplies but also helping people directly on the ground. I’m incredibly proud of how the team has responded and the professionalism they’ve shown throughout.”
WMB, which is owned by WS Transportation Group, operates from its headquarters in Gloucester and provides logistics and transport services across the UK. The company continues to work closely with partners to support the ongoing emergency operation while maintaining its wider transport commitments.
